Our Journey to Italy –
Where the Magic Happens
Sometimes, I stop to think about the journey Sivan and I have taken since we founded The Table Fairy. It all started as a small dream – a love for hosting, design, and the little details that transform an ordinary table into a true celebration. Today, when I look at everything we’ve created together, I realize that our pieces are so much more than objects – they are stories, memories, and pieces of a journey we’re constantly on.
This time, I want to take you with us to the place where this magic was born – Italy.
Venice – Where It All Begins
Our journey began in Venice, one of the cities that holds a special place in my heart. Between the canals and picturesque streets, there are family-run workshops that we’ve been working with for years. Each visit, I am once again amazed by how our pieces are handcrafted, how the colors blend, and how each plate develops its own character.
What I love most about these workshops is that they work just like they always have – no shortcuts, no industrial production lines. Each piece passes through the hands of an artisan who gives it personality, every line is hand-drawn, and every finish is thoughtfully created. We stood there, mesmerized, watching each touch of the hand create something entirely new.
Murano – Glass Art at Its Best
From there, we continued to Murano – the island where glass becomes art. It’s hard to explain in words the feeling of watching a glass cup take shape right before your eyes – from hot, almost liquid glass, it curves and cools until it becomes a masterpiece.
The artisans of Murano have been doing this for generations – each one learning from his father, his grandfather, and the tradition is preserved with perfect precision. We felt part of this story as we experienced their work up close. When we lifted a glass that had just been created, we understood that it carried so much more than just aesthetics – it carried history.
The Venice Biennale – Inspiration You Can't Miss
Between the workshops and factories, we took a moment to visit the Venice Biennale – an exhibition that takes place only once every two years, bringing mesmerizing art from all over the world. Every corner there offered us new inspiration – colors we never thought of, fascinating textures, and ideas that we’re already imagining how to incorporate into our next collections. It was like a journey through a maze of creativity, and we could feel how everything we saw started to come together with what we’d like to create moving forward.

Returning Home – Full of Inspiration
This journey wasn’t just another work trip – it was a reminder of everything we love about The Table Fairy. A love for hosting, for art, and for the people behind each piece we bring to your table. Seeing up close the passion and precision of the Italian artisans gives us the inspiration to continue creating with open hearts and fresh ideas.
I feel so fortunate to share this experience with Sivan – not just as a partner, but as a companion on this journey.
Our new collection for Passover brings with it everything we experienced in Italy and more. And we can’t wait for you to see it.
With love,
Lee and Sivan
